Lake Eildon

Something new, something different! This is a true adventure in every sense of the word, our two day kayak trip features all the adventure and fun of all our other trips whilst enjoying the wonders that a lake has to offer. There is no need to be an efficient kayaker, you do however need a moderate fitness and a willingness to have a go. We will have a safety boat alongside all the time. We will be paddling about 11-13km each day, and walking 7km on the first day.

With all gear supplied and help supplying camping gear too this really is a top notch adventure that you won’t want to miss out on! This is a superb adventure to attend by yourself and make new friends or bring your friends.

Great social fun, supportive and encouraging atmosphere

Get on site early for a gear up session and some basic paddling and safety stuff on dry land! We then head onto the water for some quick drills before heading off around the shoreline of Lake Eildon. After lunch on the shore, we head off for a 3hr walk around Blowhard Walk. This is a lovely walk with a tough hill in the middle and some great views over Lake Eildon. We then finish our paddle and set up camp before dinner and an evening fire. Wake up to a cooked breakfast, have a stretch, before heading back along the lake to our starting point.

This weekend covers some of Victoria’s most tranquil waters!

Day 1Beautiful Lake Eildon

Arriving at Eildon early Saturday, we’ll get straight into loading the support boat with your gear and unloading all our kayaks. They are double (2-person) CTR Sit-on-Tops so you’ll have no worries getting in and out of them and they are very stable. However, you will get wet whilst on the water from paddle splash, and any boat wash. We will begin the paddle with a safety briefing and some handy paddle tips, before heading off on our journey along the beautiful shoreline of Lake Eildon. Along the way, we will pull over for a yummy lunch, throw on our runners and head off on the 7km Blowhard Circuit, and yes there is a bit where you will ‘blow hard’. Back into boats, we paddle the last short section to the campsite, set up tents, enjoy dinner and relaxing around the campfire, and enjoy marshmellows and a glass of our special drink!

Day 2Leisurely Paddle

Wake up for a cooked breakfast before a rejuvenating stretch session. We start our journey with some more leisurely paddling back towards the start, and then back at the Marina, those of you that are willing can have a go at a few games designed to test your balance and skill on the boats. We’ll be back early to mid-afternoon, pack up our gear, grab your stuff from the support boat and you’re on your way home after an awesome weekend.
