Take Shape Adventures has partnered with the higly knowledgable and reputable Eastland Adventures to guide you along the Lemosho route. Widely regarded as the most dramatic and beautiful route up to Kilimanjaro. It is the most remote and although becoming more popular, it still traverses some of Kilimanjaro most striking and least traveled landscapes, including the base of Kibo Peak’s and dramatic south-facing glaciers.
This route has the added benefits of trekking across the Shira Plateau a World Heritage Site, trekking 180 degrees around the Kilimanjaro massiff, and most importantly this route allows plenty of time to acclimatize to the high altitude which is paramount to your safety, comfort, enjoyment and success while trekking mountain Kilimanjaro. Lemosho route can be climb for 6 days, 7 days and 8 days depend with your time and budget.

Kilimanjaro Climbing requires healthy food cuisine ranging from Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fats for both clients and our entire Kilimanjaro trekking crew. During the hike, our professional cooks will prepare three hot meals on daily basis.
Also our well trained and experienced cook will do everything possible to serve you different meals with regards to the particular situation, time and what is available. Food may not be quite what you are used to, so be ready for different cuisine.
Our meals are cooked with the freshest seasonal yields. All fruits, vegetables, sea food, beef and chicken are purchased from the local markets in Moshi. For all treks of over 5 days in length, we have re-supplied of fresh food to the camp/hut for our use. Please contact us if you have any special dietary circumstances.
You arrive in Kilimanraro and transfer to accommodation in Moshi. Get ready to trek.
Transfer to mountain and start trek. Mti Mkubwa Camp 7km.
Long day to Moir Hut. 16km.
We start our hike up to Barranco camp – 9km.
We continue our hike up to Karanga Camp 6km. Includes Barranco wall section.
Continued hike up to Barafu Camp 4km. Steep section. Early dinner and bed.
Keep heading up to summit and Mweka Hut. 10km. Extremely early start today.
Onto Mweka Gate 10km. Descent through rainforest and transfer to hotel.
Depart via Kilimanjaro Airport.
