What to Expect

The Northern Prom walk is one of the more challenging walks we have on the TSA Calendar. We won’t lie to you, this walk is three long days of walking, including touch sections of thick scrub, however, the hard effort gives tremendous rewards with stunning beaches and a true wilderness experience. From the scenery, fresh sea air and sense of achievement, you won’t regret taking on this challenge!

What to Bring
  • Large drink bottle, or two normal drink bottles on a hot day.
  • A small backpack
  • Medication, camera etc
  • Hat, or beanie
  • Sturdy walking boots or trail shoes or runners.
  • Walking clothes, we generally recommend shorts or light pants with layers for your upper body.

Day 1 Arrive/Hike

Day One is an 18km walk with some decent hills and mostly on a made vehicle track. This day’s walk is exposed so the weather will be an important factor.

Day 2Beach & Bush

Day two is a 21km beach and bush day with some thick scrub sections and long exposed beaches.

Day 3Challenging terrain

Day three is the toughest with over 25km of walking through navigationally challenging terrain, thick scrub, and potential swampy areas.
